Desktop-shot of the Week - Wednesday September 29th 2004
Well... The Adeptus Custode Guard is finished at last and here is a shot of the painting table taken just after the final touch of Chaos Black on the base edge. I remember that in some of the mid-nineties painting guides Mike McVey always had his masterpieces arranged nicely around the painting area on one of the first pages. Whether this was true or not this is how things look at my place! I always use reference material and compare my latest model to previous entries thinking "...it has to be better than that!".
I am quite pleased with the final image, but somehow I don't feel as sure as last year when I looked at my finished unit of Chaos Knights of Nurgle. Still, I think my Custode Guard is a worthy entry and now we just have to wait and see...
